Kampala City Traders Association (Kacita), has appealed to President Yoweri Museveni to look for an immediate solution or alternative to the current power shortage in the country.
Kacita’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Issah Ssekitto, told Daily Monitor, at his office that the 12 -hour load-shedding schedule has greatly jeopardised businesses in the city. Ssekitto added that in some parts of the city, the load shedding goes on for up to 18 hours.
..He said traders have lost huge sums of money due to unreliable power supply and high costs of generators.
