Thai Raises Oil Prices

Local oil companies have raised petrol price by Bt0.30 per litre and diesel by Bt0.40 per litre, making the domestic diesel price as the highest in Thailand history.

..In view of the rising oil price, the Thai Government introduced several measures last year to cut down on oil consumption, including closing down petrol stations at midnight and launching a voluntary campaign urging motorists to drive below 90kph, turn off air-conditioning during lunch breaks and switch off at least one light at home.
