RIYADH – Saudi Aramco plans to boost its production capacity by 2.3 million bpd for Arabian light crude in three years.
‘We have ambitious expansion plans for the refinery industry and it will need billions of dollars in the next five years,’ an Aramco official was quoted as saying in a Gulf News report.
‘Foreign technology and investment are on the same level of urgency for us. We need them both,’ he added.
He said that Aramco plans to build two new refineries, each of which will produce 400,000 bpd of products for various markets.
