Governor on ‘60 Minutes’ Sunday

The CBS news magazine “60 Minutes” is scheduled to run its segment on Gov. Brian Schweitzer on Sunday.

The show will focus on Schweitzer’s energy proposals, particularly his push to attract investors to build a plant in southeastern Montana to convert coal to liquid fuels. Correspondent Lesley Stahl and a CBS crew were in Montana in January to interview Schweitzer and tour the coal fields with him. CBS also interviewed Helena Waller, a Circle-area farmer affiliated with Northern Plains Resource Council who has spoken out against the idea.
