Milford, PA – There may not be much people in Pike County can do about their skyrocketing electric bills. But they don’t have to be happy about it.
About 4,000 customers of Pike Power and Light are still reeling from a 73 percent increase in their electricity bills that went into effect last month.
County officials have gotten an earful from angry customers and are now pushing the state Public Utilities Commission to investigate the rate hikes.
“It’s got people extremely agitated to say the least,” said Pike County Commission Chairman Harry Forbes.
