Thirsty ONGC strikes oil and gas off the Andhra coast

60 m barrels estimated, 1 TCF of gas too

NEW DELHI – The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has struck significant oil and gas reserves in the Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin last week.

While its oil find at block GS-15 (20 km south of Amalapuram in Andhra) is estimated at 60 million barrels, the gas find is conservatively estimated at 1 trillion cubic feet.
