China energy shortage expected to ease this year

China’s energy shortage is expected to ease this year, although regional and seasonal shortages will persist, the South China Morning Post reported, citing an industry official.

..But relief would only come in the second half of the year, when most generators would be ready, China Electricity Council secretary-general Wang Yonggan said.
