Kenya Pipeline Company yesterday announced a dawn-to-dusk curfew along its pipeline after rising incidents of vandalism and issued a shoot-on-sight order.
..Unreliable power supply has so far cost the company Sh400 million (about 5.6 million USD) as it affects the company’s ability to pump oil, hence delays in delivering the commodity. Chief technical manager Absalom Kosgei said any power outage leads to complete shutdown of the pipeline for at least four hours.
