India researching hydrogen as fuel

NEW DELHI, Sept 16 Asia Pulse – Aimed at developing an alternate to the fossil fuel to meet growing energy demand in India, the National Hydrogen Energy Board (NHEB) today sought a financial package including budgetary support of Rs 2.5 billion (US$54.1 million), and it will start a pilot project to use hydrogen as auto fuel by 2010.
