The U.K. was a net oil and natural gas importer in the third quarter of 2005 as supplies of indigenous oil and gas continues to decline at a rapid rate, statistics from the U.K. government’s Department of Trade and Industry showed Thursday.
U.K. crude oil output fell 12.8% in the quarter to 19.3 million tons compared with the same quarter a year earlier, the Department’s statistics showed.
