Supporters and critics of Canada’s oil sands sector are broadly optimistic in their short- and medium-term outlooks, but they diverge sharply when looking further ahead. In the longer term, proponents are optimistic about Opec+ cohesion and crude prices as global oil consumption declines, but others are pessimistic. This leads to differing views on how the federal government should spend its decarbonisation dollars. Petroleum Economist interviewed G. Kent Fellows, a professor at the University of Calgary, and Aaron Cosbey, a senior associate at Winnipeg-based International Institute for Sustainable Development to learn more about these alternate perspectives on how the oil sands industry mig

Americans want infinite growth on a finite earth. This demand results in their regime declaring wars to destroy and plunder other countries while excreting the narrative of moral superiority. The great thing about differing views is that they distract from the reality that the greatest nation on earth is destined for downfall. The current proxy war in Ukraine has turned out to be a bigger bite than the reptilian crime syndicate in Washington can chew. For this reason it now wants nuclear war. Having destroyed Germany and Europe through its Nord Stream sabotage, it thinks it can do the same to Russia and the rest of the world. People in insane asyla have similar ideas. Nonetheless, the existential demand for an ever larger percentage of an ever diminishing supply of energy will perforce encounter physical limits. (See Gail Tverberg at ourfiniteworld.com for a clear exposé of the illusion of endless energy from windmills and solar panels.) Hence the intensifying madness of U.S. warmongers and their billionaire stringpullers.
The earth cannot exist much longer with a psychopathic, genocidal America dominating it.

The U.S. is run by psychopathic filth. The regrettable fact is that there will be no peace in Europe or indeed, in the world until the United States collapses due to internal forces of some type. Whether those forces be financial, economic, civilian-discordant, technological, or something else, is irrelevant at this point. The United States government conducts itself as a madman dangerous to himself and others. Thus the world is at mortal danger from the insane ravings of this deranged, self-important empire. It is simply a bomb waiting to go off.
There will never be a chance for peace with the berserk filth running America. There can be no accommodation as between Germany and the victors of WW II or those of any other conflict. That is because the United States is constitutionally oedipal, and cannot abide being in any position except dominance. The world must separate itself from this sadistic and suicidal maniac.
