Energy superbody junked

Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is putting on the back burner her plan to create an oil and power superbody, which has been heavily criticized by business leaders and lawmakers for rendering Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla powerless.

In a radio interview, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said the President ordered a review of Executive Order No. 474 which will establish the Philippine Strategic Oil, Gas, Energy Resources and Power Infrastructure Office, less than a month after she signed it.
